I have a 1994 Q45. Recently my brake light turned on (even though the parking brake isn't engaged) and stays on while driving. This happened a few months ago and the owner's manual said to check the brake fluid reservoir and replenish if low, I did and that did the trick. There is plenty of fluid in the reservoir now, but I see there is another fluid reservoir up front, apparently this is the "traction control system fluid reservoir" and it is nearly below the MIN line. What the hell is this thing, and what fluid does it require? Is it just regular DOT 3 fluid?

Thanks.

Yes, fill it with regular brake fluid.

Thanks for the replies and welcome.

Lately when I've been driving for longer than 30-40 minutes I start hearing funky noises and I noticed the engine coolant gauge goes all the way up. In June my Q overheated and broke down and I had the radiator, fan, and head gasket replaced.

Is this a sign I may be in need of coolant exchange, or something worse?

Sorry for all the questions but I'm not terribly car-savvy.

Thanks again.

I think its time for a new engine or car for you, if the gauge truely went "All the way up"
