IM not sure if ive posted on this before (if I have, im sorry), but when my TC locks up in 4th gear and i give it a little bit of gas it slips... you feel it shudder through the entire car, it doesnt feel good...

Its been doing this for a while and it seems to be getting slightly worse, but it seems to be really bad when its hot out...

Trans fluid has been done... I recently dropped the pan, magnet had some stuff on it and there was a reasonable amount of clutch material in the screen. I know that my trans is on its way south, but is there anything that I can do to make it not get terribly worse... Ive already put everything else on hold until i figure out whats going on so i wont be screwed if i need to buy a new trans. My local shop does flushes for $89+tax which is a good deal..... Should I do the flush? I have a can of BG quick clean for AT's as well. Are there any additives that may help this condition...

Other than the above, the trans shifts reasonably well.

Well, I suppose a mechanical fluid exchange (preferably with M1 ATF or some other synthetic) and 6 oz. of lubeguard red would be another option.

Drain and replce just doenst get the gunk out of the hard to reach places. Watch the hoses or sight tubes and you'll see.

I agree.. Ive been drainingand refilling every 6 months or so, and its not bad.. I dont want to spend the cash on M1 because i dont plan on having this transmission that long... I just dont think its got that much left in it to justify spending an extra $100 on fluid alone..

I think i may try the lubeguard first, and then see what happens.. If that doesnt fix it, then i may try a mechanical exchange...

for refereance, my trans is a level 10 PTS3 and its got a modified OEM TC stall speed about 3000.

What is the magic number for adding the lubeguard...?? I got a bottle and i should be ready to rock and roll... It seems that tech likes running about 6 OZ, so if thats the magic number ill go for it.
