So i just finished cleaning my TB with some Intake cleaner, and i reassembled everything, everything looks just fine. Fixed my idling problem. I take my car to go pick up my girlfriend and its completely bogging down on me. I have absolutely ZERO power, i can push the pedal to the floor and it will just stick at 3000 rpm, not moving an inch. The engine keeps feeling like its fighting me back everytime i touch the pedal. I honestly don't know what could be wrong. Also my TB is extremely hot to the touch, don't know if this is normal because everything else under the hood wasnt that hot. I honestly don't know of anything i could of done wrong.

Someone please help, i need to fix this car, it is my DD. !!

Sounds to me like the MAF has gone bad. Where exactly did you spray the cleaner, was it directly in front of the throttle body? Did you wash/clean the air intake tubes by chance?

I believe the reason it won't go over 3K rpm is that the ECU is in "limp mode" trying to prevent you from harming the engine. I would not advise driving the car in "limp mode" for any period of distance.

you didn't actually spray directly in the TB did you? hope not.

check your MAF also check your coil packs. sounds like your misfiring.

Everywhere i read it said to spray directly in the throttle plate? I dont want to believe so many people are doing it wrong:(, but wow i guess ill check all my S-plugs tommrow morning, i cant imagine why my MAF would be screwing up, i didnt even touch it, jus unplugged it, and ive checked that its all plugged in correctly.

EDIT - wouldnt i definetly hear my car misfiring, ive heard it before it was definetly nothing like this. plus the car is fine and accelerates fine sometimes, but never really over 3000 rpm.

it should be acting like that for a little while... you just cleaned it and there still might be some cleaner in the intake.

clean ur maf sensor too with maf cleaner and make sure to get the pin with a q tip. Diconnect the battery for a couple hours then start it and let it idle for a while then take it for a spin. Its probably trying to figure out what u did to it.
