Im not doing anything with my money, becasue I paid in over 7600 last year and Im only getting back 283 bucks. Im just gonna burn mine when it gets here. Oh, and I owe the State of Indiana

ask your folks if they claimed you fool. You cant claim yourself as a dependent prior to 18 unless you go to court and claim that you are on your own.

as long as your parents are claiming you as a dependent, then no, you won't be getting a refund until you're 18.

Even then, they can still technically claim you. If your parents count on that money, it makes more sense for them to keep claiming you than for you to get a measly extra 200 bucks. (this is from what I know, I'm not nor will I ever be a tax expert)
