So? And just responding to the quoted part. What part of that is a surprise, Republicans have sided with Wall Street for decades.

Also, some of it might not be as bald an association as is apparent - the second one was promoted by the Democrats. Now, while stebo's right and Republicans have long been associated with being friendly (well, slightly friendlier - I wouldn't say that the Democrats are particularly hostile) to Wall Street, they're also very unfriendly to Democrats, as of late.
