Maybe make a t-top into a targa top, if at all. But I would not ruin a slick top. I wish i had one

If you had a targa top you would need all of the bracing of a convertible. The bottom of the car needs to be a lot stiffer when there isn't a roof to help add support. Targas look sick, but it would be a huge project to do safely.

+1

The reason our cars aren't as bloated as they could be is because of the center support of the T bar. It provides extra chassis rigidity without the need for added underbracing.

If you were to take a slicktop and cut the roof off, the car would buckle in the middle over the first pothole.

Slick tops are so sweet, and ultra rare... don't convert it.
