I've tried just about everything to remove tar from the inside of my rims. I've let the foam tar remover soak for 5-10 min, high pressure, and scraping with a gasket remover (bad idea). Any suggestions?

Did you try claying your rims to remove the tar?

I cant clay the tar off...BIG chunks of tar on the inside of the wheel. I'll try the goo gone. Is the brake dust product safe for the forged aluminum rims?

Should be considering they are painted and clear coated.

Try some "Oil Eater". It does wonders for tar.

Ajax/Comet works fine for me. The powdered kind in the cylinder can btw. The way I do it is, get the wheel wet, put some on a wet sponge and wipe away. You can also let it soak for a minite or two if you want, then rinse, and you're done.
