tapping noise

i got a tapping noise from engineit sounds like its coming from the injectorsi have no idea what it is i searched but all i can find is tapping noise coming from the front of motor

injectors usually make ticking noise.

In order to find out where the noise is coming from I suggest you get yourself a mechanic stethoscope to pinpoint the source of noise.

i have same noise. no idea either, from what i remember, its a new noise

get an old water hose, cut it off at about a foot. hold it to your ear and poke around to find the noise.

does it happen when the engine is cold? if it does its normal. my engine make the same noise when its cold. the noise is comming from the valves. i switched my oil filter form a 91 sentra sr20de to a 96 maxima(nippon oil filter) and the engine dosen't make the tapping noise as much.

yea, i was unaware that the maxima filter fits eathier. yay for usless info that may pay off one day!
