i have an sr20 and i just recently had to pull the motor and replace the headgasket and mill the head a lil bit cause it was warped just a lil but the metal head gasket made up for more then enough of that and i ran the motor it runs fine besides the weird tapping noise coming from the valve train which i think is a lifter i've had a couple people tell me that but i've never heard of people with sr's have trouble with them..cause i though they would eventually bleed themselves i don't know where to look next any help would be appreciated

punctuation is our friend. {thumbup}

it probably is a lifter. Run some engine cleaner through it next time you do an oil change. There could be a piece of dirt caught under the lifter or something else of that nature. I have a bit of lifter tick and I'm gonna run some engine cleaner through with my next oil change. Another possibility of the tick could be an injector. Run some fuel injector cleaner in your next tank of gas.
