Tape deck woes on QX4....

Ok - it's me w/the QX4 again....my tape deck is acting funny. I know we don't use them anymore in this day n'age - but it is a selling point. It's making some sort of clicking noise and if I try to put a tape in, there's a block. Do you think this is a problem w/the deck itself or are there fuses for this? Pardon my lack of knowledge...but that is why I joined this forum.Thanks!Romaniron

If a fuse was involved I'd expect it to do NOTHING. What exactly do you mean by "if I try to put a tape in, there's a block". I'm assuming that it's blocked? The tape won't go in?

If you don't want to replace the stock unit. You could check with the folks at http://www.carstereohelp.com. They fixed the Bose head unit in my J30 when the CD player quit working.

It's been two years since their fix and all is well.
