I saw this video on speed hunters and couldn't help but show you guys.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...eddedI do not like this video because it promotes street drifting and know all of the fan boys will think its cool. I personally think this is a step backwards for drifting. And I also hate Tanner, it the way he talks, he's so arrogant and his voice is very anoying.

Here are some comment from speedhunters:Hmmm...mixed feelings about this video. Old Man Rant coming on....

-I wonder how many fanbois are now going to try to drive that way on that road and mess it up for the rest of us drivers.

-I wonder why local authorities make it a point to crack down on drivers in this area for being "unsafe" and yet allow this vid to be made. Someone has connections, I guess.

-If the authorities are willing to close off this road for shoots like this, they should also be willing to close it to allow for organized hillclimb events so "the rest of us" unwashed masses can enjoy the road in an unlimited manner as well.

Double standards piss me off.

it just looks like Rockstars attempt at matching the Ken Block videos. its nothing special anyways, people have been doing that on that road for years, just not legally lol

This is what I'm talking about VVVsoo, why dont people drift this road on a regular basis?this is as close as american drivers will get to the mountain roads in japan...it is now on my list to rip up.

I admit its a pretty good video and he's a good driver I just don't like his attitude. But I think ryans "off seasons" is better.

Here are my thoughts on this.

-By doing this he has essentially given everyone who drives that road a race line to follow, just keep your tires with the skid marks burned into the pavement.

-Do you guys not remember a couple of years ago a dvd called Chasing the Touge where they did the same thing, with both home built tuners and professionally built Time Attack and Drift cars on that same stretch of road.

-Not feeling the TC, really wish Rockstar had stayed with the Z chassis.

-I like Tanner, he's actually really cool in person and loves to show fan appreciation (unlike Rhys Millen), plus he's probably one of the best Pro Drifters on the FD circuit.

-Finally when you are own a major corporation like Rockstar, you'll be able to drive any way you want on any road like that too.

Yeah it'll be bad on our end since every d-bag that owns a car will try to mimic that and cause tons of problems, but it's good for them because really, it's marketing brilliance.

Anybody with the right permits and enough cash can do this. This is not a double standard. Supercars Exposed regularly close roads in Malibu for their episodes in California.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ErNQHsVZrBM more of your favorite guy

.....one of my favorite things to do in this world is drive the beach access roads up and down the PCH. I go from the beach through the mountains and back again.

There are car commercials that show driving you shouldnt do on roads, and videogames that show shooting civilians.... You need to be able to differentiate TV from real life!

I met tanner at Sema and he was a real nice guy IMO

Dont let NJ cops put you in a bad mood dude, you just gotta get out of jackson!Come out to Carlisle and see how it goes down!

Truth! Little to no budget video (excluding the car build of course), simple angle, simple video, and a large snapping turtle.

Don't get me wrong though, Tanner Foust's video is cool and he is a good driver (not my favorite). But, in my honest opinion, that video felt like Rockstar's own reply to Ken Block's Gymkhana video. If you don't see what I mean, watch them both and think about it for a minute.

Why am I supposed to care about this guy? He's better than me, but that's not much of a compliment. I saw amateurs on the street back in the day that would spin circles around him in cukoos held together with duct tape and running cut springs and baked junkyard tires..

ROFL, Nala has become a NICO landmark. Kind of like the leaning tower of Pisa.

1. Ken Block's video was 10x better all around i.e. editing, angles, skill, entertainment, humor2. Scion TC.... really? I remember the advertisement promoting his new Scion, I don't know why but I hate that car so f***ing much. Probably due to the dumbasses that drive them in my area. Technically that isn't even a f***ing Scion TC anymore the entire car is aftermarket parts minus the f***ing sheet metal. Kids are going to be like "THAT CAR IS SO f***ING COOL" and go out and buy one. /end rant

If your company was the only company in a room with eager buyers, would you invite your competitors to try and sell to the buyers?
