Which strut tower brace would be better or is there no difference. Plan on going with the Tanabe springs as well.

I'm working with Tanabe and APR Performance http://www.aprperformance.com/ for Strut Bars and other Performance items for the Versa. I have the DC in stock.

Wings, just got off the phone with Tanabe USA and no they are not available at this time and he will contact me when they are available. They think it will be in about a month or two.So hang in there.

AEM also listed their CAI for the V on their website for a good couple months before the final version was actually in production.

I'm mostly wondering if there is any really difference between these things. Unless a really thin aluminum one is used that would actually deform, I don't think it would matter, but I was curious as to what others had to say.

Apparently DC Sports has some out that are aluminum and really thin so they bend and twist. I'm thinking the carbon steel which Versaspeed has wont do that.

Unless your talking really high HP and racing situations...Im pretty sure youll be happy with any of them out there.

I know guys back in detroit running 11's on Ebay strut bars....

Ive always been a fan of Tanabes products as I have installed them on hundreds of cars...DC is a great company as well...I dont think you can go wrong either way.

You are correct. The DC sports piece is very sturdy and I seriously doubt that it would deform at all. The downside is that it is quite heavy by strut bar standards and kind of a pain to install (stupid plastic cowling doesn't like to come off very easily).

See my cardomain page for my reviews of all my parts.

I'm no guru on the matter, but I always thought strut bars were used to increase torsional rigidity, so that the car could handle better.

As far as I know, there are no turns on the track where the 'guys' you know are running 11s.

I think their ability to go down an 1/8 mile (or whatever) track in 11 seconds has less to do with what strut bar they have installed, and more to do with tire compound, hp, gear ratios, or whatever other piece you need to get a good launch and quick acceleration.

And to the original poster, I don't think it would make much difference, both DC and Tanabe are reputable companies, and I would trust either to make a decent strut bar. As Tanabe hasn't released theirs yet, and assuming you want your bar quickly, go with the DC bar.
