I have been looking for an exhaust for my AC but cannot decide. I don't want it to sound like a ricer; just want it to have a nice sound. I have narrowed it down to the Tanabe Axle Back and the Stillen Axle Back exhaust. Which one is better sounding and quality? I have seen video clips of their sound, however I do not trust them due to everyone recording with different cameras/microphones.

Tanabe all day. Fitment is damn close to OEM, and I would bet both my cars that it will fit nicer than the Stillen.

I had one on my V6 Altima, and it was superior in quality to all but one exhaust I have ever used (Greddy SE). It has a presence, but it is not loud. It was designed for the V6, but I have seen guys bolt them onto the 2.5, but I cannot recall if any modification is necessary.

Yeah I would go with Tanabe if I was positive that there were no mods neccesary. However, I don't want to have to mod anything I just want a simple bolt on.

I'm going to move your thread to the coupe section and see if we can get some tanabe owners to chime in.

Taanbe has been in my opinion the classiest sounded exhaust for the 2.5. Stillen is too tame in my opinion
