Ok, is there anyone in Tampa who has done this swap? I know some guys from Secret Services...like MattBac have done this. I want to take a ride...well I'd actually like to drive a SR20DET powered vehicle. I planning on swapping one into my S14. Please give me a holler if you are around the Tampa Bay area

I got my swap done at SS in Tampa. Let's just say you will be VERY IMPRESSED AND PLEASED :) When are you getting the swap done, and where? What mods etc?

you have to give it to them, I believe unless you wanna pay for them to go out and find it. I did the swap in palmetto, but I did it with my dad.

Oh I TOTALLY recommend them, between Mattback, Taylor and Scott...you are well taken care of. These guys are experts. Well worth the drive from Gainesville. Taylor and Matt have done several SR swaps. And Scott OWNS a 440rwhp SR himself. Also you get before and after dyno runs as well for free. Average price you'll spend is about $1000 for a basic swap (I did an auto to manual as well so it was more for me, plus I was swapping a s13 sr into an s14 chassis). I dropped off all my parts like FMIC, downpipe, fuel pump, electric fans, exhaust, etc. and they installed it all as part of the package. They were great to me; worked tons of overtime to get my car running just perfect.

so i just pay ~1000 for the install and they will just drop in any parts i bring beforehand?

Silviagirl79, when did you get your swap done? Was it a few weeks ago? I think I may have seen your car. Did you mod the interior...red trim? I have met all those guys and they seem great. Once Scott gets his car running again, he's gonna take me for a ride! Tell me more about what they did for you.

Basically yeah, you pay $1000, and they install your SR20DET get it running nicely and install whatever bolts ons you bring in. Like Turbo TImer, exhaust, etc. Also, they dyno your car before the swap and after for free.

Call them at 727-571-1450 , Ask for Taylor, or Matt..and tell them Priscilla sent you.

Wow I think I know you...so you're the guy with the S14 that wants a swap? And wants to keep AC right? Matt told me briefly about u stopping by.

Yeah definetly get your swap done there. They have good customer service. And most important reason to go there is because this is their specialty. I have no complaints. Motor is running great. I swapped a s13 blacktop into my s14..and did an auto to manual. Not the easiest swap. My car was a pain but everything worked out at the end. :) Totally worth the 6k (without cost of the car), Ive put into it. ;)

Yep, that's me! I definitely want to keep my A/C! Those guys are really cool. Looks like I've made up my mind! I'm going with SS for sure. I had some doubts, but I'll totally go with them now. So where do you live Silviagirl79? I think Taylor told me he took you drifting after everything was installed. Was it you? If so, how did you like it? If you're still in the area, I'd love to see the car and go for a ride!

Oh my God, Taylor and Scott drive crazy... ;) it was awesome!!! Scott actually took me drifting in my newly swapped car, and Taylor took my husband drifting. Incredible :) Have them do the same when yours is done.

Also call them ASAP and tell you want to set an appt. for this. Because Taylor has toooons of appointments, so let them know in advance. Matt is also a knowledgeable guy.

Yeah, I've been drifting with Taylor...he's a total maniac! That guy can really drive! Scott has to take me for a ride in the 400+rwhp 240 that he has. I need to call them to make sure it's ready. Thanks for all the input. Word of mouth is the best advertisement.

I definitely need some more power. I put on the Azenis tires and can't get it to break loose like it used to. But once I drop in the SR...and put down 200+hp to the wheels...the drifiting will be on! HAHAHAHA!!!!(<-maniacal laughter).

You're near P'Cola? That's where I grew up! Come down here and check out SS. There's nothing like them in your area. At least not that I know of.

Edit: BLiTz...it takes me around 6-7 hours to get to Tampa from Pensacola. No way would it take you 8 hours to get to ST. Pete. I drive around 80ish..you know just to keep up with traffic.

Silviagirl79, what kind of numbers did you put down before and after on the dyno? Can you give me more details of the parts that you put on your car?

This was the post I made when I just got my car out of the shop (about 2 weeks ago), and the list of mods ton. They installed all of them. And even replaced some worn parts like my rear main seal. They had my JUN Lightened flywheel (which CAME with my sr, what a nice surprise) resurfaced for me. If you're going to buy a lightened flywheel, do it when they swap motors, they'll probably include it in the swap price. They were also going to install my Sparco seats with the deal but I didnt get my brackets in time.

"W-O-W. It hasnt fully hit me yet, but is slowly starting to. I'd like to thank Mattback, Taylor, and Enthalpy for all their work and dedication to my project car. It has only just begun guys! This thing is very fast for a fairly stock setup, (ie on stock boost, and stock t25). It FEELS like the car is a low 14 sec on this setup:

1. Apexi N1 Single 2. GReddy 3 in Downpipe 3. gutted cat 4. JUN chromoly lightened flywheel 5. GReddy Type S BOV 6. GReddy Turbo Timer 7. GReddy V-spl FMIC 8. Cone filter Intake 9. ACT Street Disk Clutch 10. Carbon Fiber hood 11. Dual 12 inch Electric Fans 12. Walbro 255lph Fuel Pump 13. Z32 Fuel Filter 14. No back seats

Sweet list of mods! What are the numbers you're putting down? As you know I'm planning on doing something very similar, but of course different in some respects.

Edit: My goal is 350rwhp.

Yeah, my goal is 350rwhp as well. :) I didnt get before numbers because the car wasnt running when I brang it in (I actually towed it), the ka was broken. And I didnt get after numbers yet because a brand new clutch needs to be broken in. I can go and get my car dynoed anytime after the clutch breaks in (500miles) for free. So I'll be heading out there probably this weekend or next, I also will have them install my Sparco seats and Greddy e 01 boost controller.

I will eventually upgrade to the t3/to4e turbo though...can't wait.

You go girl! So you decided to go with the e01 controller? I've heard good things about the profec b. What's the diff between that and the e01 is the e01 going to use Fuzzy logic or does it need to be broken in?
