My G didn't come with it and now I'm looking into getting one. Just wondering which is the best and why. I don't want to spend mucho $$, but I don't want a POS either...any help?

I got my parent's the TOM TOm One. It's a decent one that's priced pretty low. From my limited usage, it's got a few small quirks. On occassion, if I take another route, it tries to divert you back to the original route instead of finding a new route. And the day and night screen configuration requires you to find it in a menu. But overall, it's effectively good. I'm sure there are much better ones, but ones with similar functions are already priced higher than this one.

Wolffe camera has a Garmen 200 on sale this weekend. All out, but they will order one for the 219 price. I'm looking into getting a gps also.

Well when 9pm comes on thanksgiving and the line to best buy is 500 people long and their is no one person in line at linens n things.

Well i would rather be Number 1 than number 500 and something

I got a 42" LCD 1080P for 699 and i got 2 tom toms for 99 each

What more do you want out of life

But i was Number 1

But you call it what you want.

I also was on the good side of the GF becasue she wanted to go to Linens n things anyway..

WIN WIN for me

I bought an 08 G35 sedan, without the Nav. $2200 was just too much for the feature when I have a Magellan 2200T that I’ve used for a year now and love. It fits nicely in the cup holder where I can see it and hear it clearly enough. It has saved me several times and I won’t drive without it. As far as I can tell, it updates automatically when it is on. It also provides speed, altitude, satellites tracking and has a really simple interface. About $240+/- at Costco.

Word of warning, leave it out of sight, as I hear they are on the “must have” thief list this year.

I myself have been doing some research into GPS aswell. I have run numerous GPS systems in the past in mostly marine aplication. By far the best i have used is anything Garmin. Im thinking af buying the Garmin 680. Im sure the Magellin is just as good. Aslong as you stick with the big name brands you will be fine. Ive used some other brands overseas and wasnt as happy. Here in north america most gps systems will be pretty accurate aslong as the mapping can be updated. Ok thats my two bits

Cheers!

Sorry to hijack your thread TC, I have a similar question.

I have a 07 g35 sedan with the display screen but no navigation system. Does anyone know if I can have one installed to use with that screen? If so, where could I do that and how much would that cost?

Thanks
