taking vg30e out

hey there i recently got a rod knock in my motor. its a 95 hardbody v6, 5 speed. and im replacing it with another. i was looking at it from the bottom and i think im gunna run into a problem. when i take the motor out i think im guna snag the back part of the oil pan in the front diff. my question is have anybody ever takin the vg30e out and had problems?

yeah, its not fun to pull out of your trucks engine bay, but it can be done. Borrow an engine leveler for this pull. peace.

when I did an engine swap it was after we did a solid axle swap, but yeah, I can see how this will be a bit tricky. You'll have to go straight up, then forward.

ive got a leveler but when it comes to puting it back in i think it will be hard to stab the transmission input into the clutch. im puting a 3inch body lift on it before i do the swap do you think that will help. maybe so i could lift the motor up more? just a thought
