Taking pics of A/C ??'s

So I want a good clean pic of my AC to be able to photoshop . . . I want to play around with blacking out certain parts of the front lip, like the wholes on both sides and the dip in the front . . . but all of my pics are FULL of glare and look like crap. I have no idea how to correctly change the settings on my camera or anything to accomplish this, if it is even possible. Below is an example of all the reflection/glare that is present on the parts I want to photoshop =/
