It's computer limited. It's not a mechanical governor.

i'm i able to change that? with a chip or is the CVT just limited at and i cant do anything about it?

What do you propose to change it with? There isn't anything to swap it with. It is electronically limited and there isn't a thing you can do about it. You can try looking into a chip but I highly doubt there is one out there.

I am not sure what limits your trying to overcome but I am thinking you completly misunderstand the operation of a CVT. There are no gears in it therefore weather electronic or mechanical there is no governing of gears. If you hold your foot on the floor during acceleration the input pulley to output pulley ratio will allow engine speed to be at or near redline until you let off the pedal or the car hits the computer controlled speed limiter. Which BTW will likely have an aftermarket bypass available in the next couple years.

ya i knew it didnt have gears but i didnt know about the CVT thank u for the feed back and u answered my question which was about the chip but i know its not out yet. if u guys hear of a chip out please let me know thank u
