I am not sure what limits your trying to overcome but I am thinking you completly misunderstand the operation of a CVT. There are no gears in it therefore weather electronic or mechanical there is no governing of gears. If you hold your foot on the floor during acceleration the input pulley to output pulley ratio will allow engine speed to be at or near redline until you let off the pedal or the car hits the computer controlled speed limiter. Which BTW will likely have an aftermarket bypass available in the next couple years.
