I got to the brake line but when I tried to take it off it started leaking..... can anyone explain how to take off calipers?

What is it that you are trying to do? If you are replacing or rebuilding the calipers, don't worry about the brake fluid b/c you'll be bleeding your brakes anyway.

If you're just trying to take off the rotor, there's two 14mm (IIRC) bolts that hold the caliper to the spindle...that's all you need to remove.

Oh yeah, you may find it easier to remove the torque plate too (the outside part of the caliper)...just remove the two 12mm (again, iirc) glide pins first.

Go ahead and take them completely off... that way you can drain the brake fluid as it's more than likely time to do so.
