So, in work related news, I'm headed off to the sandbox. Specifically, I'm going to Qatar for business. Gonna be there a week doing some kind of conference/ sales thingy where we rep our product and have to talk to a million people. We're going to be the only American folks there and they've huddled us in with the guys from the U.K. all week long...

Any advice? Cool stuff to see? I already know not to do this: :bigthumb:

Also, we're going to have a nice layover in Frankfurt, so yeah. First time off the continent, kinda exited/scared of sh*t I can get in trouble for...

I hope the plane doesnt explode in a fireball and crash land in the middle of the Atlantic while burning everythone and everything on a layer of jet fuel because no one will be able to help you.

Good luck :)

My roommate spent 8 months there on a military base and a friend of mine now lives there with her Peruvian boyfriend. She's an American white woman teaching 6th graders.

They frown heavily on PDA. Alcohol is hard to come by. Lots of choices in spices and meats though.

Remember, camels are only for riding on as a passenger). :) And get your bacon fix now because I read somewhere pork is not allowed there.

From what little I've read about it, it sounds like it's a relatively safe place to visit as long you don't get too crazy. Have fun and post pics.

I will try to refrain from kissing my boss then.

Also, I figured that any drinky-drinky is gonna have to happen in the hotel, or maybe at the home of one of the Christian workers there. Can't wait for the food!
