Anyone ever used these or heard of any reviews of the product. They are a short ram intake, but doesn't use a heat shield like the JWT popcharger. At least not for the 2003-2006 edition. It is one of the few with a dry filter, which is why I'm interested in this intake in the first place. Any input would be great thanks....

FWIW this is the first I've heard of Takeda, and why no heat shield? It gets pretty hot under there..

You should look into an injen intake

It comes with a silicon elbow so you can switch between 'short ram' and a longer pipe 'cold air intake'

(I have an injen, i like it)

Hey Orange, you sent me a PM, but I have no way to get in touch with you. You have your email hidden and your setting: "Allow users to send you private messages" set to "No". So I can't PM you until you change that setting or you give me your email.

Did you ever get the Typhoon? I am considering getting one, I had one on my 02 WRX, it sounded great. I have also had K&N products on 2 Pathfinders, and 2 Subaru Legacies....I trust K&N products to fit and not trip codes so I was planning on getting one for my 08 Z, however I always try to do research and get advice before installing after market parts. So how is the Typhoon?

I'd be inclined to see if you can knock up some sort of heat shield because I can imagine the heat sink would be quite severe if the motor is driven hard. Are you any good at working with ally or sheet steel.?
