Hey everyone,

Purchased a Takeda Air Intake from a member on here recently.

Installed it a couple of weeks ago and it sounds great!

I think it definitely dresses up the engine bay and makes some good sound throughout the rev range.

Only problem is that my kit was missing the M6 Male to Female cylindrical isolation mount.

I know I can grab these online but I'm gonna try some auto parts stores and hardware stores today. If anyone knows where I could grab these that would be great. It needs to be about 3cm long.

Looks great, sure it sounds awesome too. Did you notice an increase in performance or gas mileage?

Thanks! I'm running stock exhaust right now and will probably leave it that way. I don't wanna draw tons of attention or feel like a ricer. There's something to be said for a smooth ride and a quiet cabin.

Yeah it really does sound much better to me. It's just enough sound where I can go easy on the throttle and hear nothing or really step on it and hear my engine come to life. No I didn't notice any increase in performance or decrease in low end torque. My gas mileage has been worse because I keep stepping on it until I hear the intake kick in haha.

Interestingly I noticed that you can tune the resonant frequency and ultimately the sound of the exhaust by pulling the intake tube slightly in and out from the throttle body as well as the filter off and on the tube. The longer the tube the lower the resonant frequency and the sooner the sound kicks in.

I did order a part which I'm quite confident will fit.
