Hi I just installed the takeda intake on my 2010 altima coupe 2.5 works good sounds good with no service engine light after disconnecting the battery. My only concern is the gas. It would be great to improve the gas or at least stay the same as stock. But my gas is going down ridiculously quick not even driving aggressively. Does that have to do with the MAF or something about the idle relearn? I don't want to revert back to stock but if not then this intake isn't worth for me.

Welcome to NICO!

Your car tries to maintain an air fuel ratio. Since you are adding more air, you are using more fuel. It's simply how the car works. You can obtain the same airflow as your previous restricted intake with lighter throttle pressure, but you will lose air velocity. Effectively you have increased top-end capability at the expense of low end efficiency. It's all about trade offs. Nothing is free. Car people understand equivalent exchange like alchemists.

Never heard of this before. Or never noticed an increase in gas consumption rather lol. I've owned a few altima coupes
