Anyway, video game review persons are crap. Honestly, i bought stretch panic thinking it would be a cool game. Well it's a CRAPPY *** GAME.

Uh...dude. I just read a REVIEW of HL2. It comes out Nov. 7.

And GTA4 comes out 10/26/04--next week.

HL2 come out nov. 7th yah right. Thats like a software company having a release date becuase they are to DAMN lazy to have a date. This "it will come out when it's done" crap is BS. I don't see car makers going "the 350z?" we will be showing it at this years car show and it will come out when its done.

No, dude. That's a real date. The game is really finished. It's been done for about two months now. The only thing left is to finish manufacturing the discs and boxes. It'll be out by the second week in November.

And honestly, I love the "It'll come out when its done" crap. That means the game is not half finished and rushed to make a date. It's done, then they announce a date, then it comes out. I'd rather have waited a year and two months for HL2 that had it last year half done. According to PCGamer, it "Makes Far Cry weep and smacks Doom 3 with its own flashlight." They have a final version of the game. The Collectors Edition that I have reserved. They gave it a 98%--highest score ever given. It's done. This time its not a developer publicity game, the date is real.

I made a mistake above. It's not GTA4 that comes out next week. Its GTA5. Oops.

Speaking of soon to be releases, we've been playin' Halo 2 for a little while and it's definitely worth it for the single player alone. You get to play the leader of the defeated coveneant armada from the first installment try to put down a rebellion inside the covenant ranks and it's oh so sweet. New weapons and dual-wielding is awesome news vehicles and tricks to do with them are nice touch.

Then there's the mulitplayer--wow. It's kinda weird because you no longer have health, you just have shields and once your shields are gone and you et hit, you're dead. Once you get used to that, all the new weapons and expansive maps are a blast. Oh, and falling no longer hurts. pwntacular

Halo needs to die a violent, long, painful death. I feel like reserving a copy just so I can go to the midnight release party at the local gamestop and snap the disk in half in front of all those Halo fanatics.

well i am still kind of warry. I will see HL2 when it comes out. The problem is, i don't see any webstores going nuts that it will come out.

I think most of them and me have lost faith in software companies saying "it's comming out soon"

Blizzard says that **** and it doesn't come out for another 1.5 years

It's NOT normal for any store to go crazy about a game coming out. That only happens with over-hyped games like Halo. How many times have you seen that word (Halo) on websites. WAY too many. No one ever shuts up about it. Hey guess what...now it has this...its gonna have that. SHUT UP. Just let it happen. It only serves to ruin a game when you have already effectively played it by reading the websites about it.And for HL2? Maybe a year ago there was hype. Since last November, hardly at all. There is a big difference. It's going to be a quiet premier. That's the way Valve wants it, I'm glad. At least it really will be a good game, regardless of when it comes out. I can't say that much for Halo2.

On a side note, Valve has confirmed that HL3 production has begun (this was in late august or early september). Time to wait another 7 years for a sequel.
