take the block out frome behind my gas

will my car get more power if i take the block out from behind the gas peddle to open the thrittle body more and if it does is it really bad for it

there is a block? anyways, your throttle body might be already opened all the way, to confirm, have a friend step on the gas peddle whiel you look at the position of the throttle body, there should be a notch on the TB for the valve to open any more than it can

The only thing I knew was behind the gas peddle is the kickdown switch (on AT cars).

If you are talking about the little plastic lump under the accel. pedal....um no. Leave it and forget about it.

A while back I had it out for dying my carpet and A. there is a metal bracket under it that still causes a lump and B. the throttle body is already wide *** open before the pedal hits anything.
