Just got done painting all four of my new wheels.. Putting them on the car some day later this week.. I'm excited!

P.S. anyone know of a brand that makes DARK purple caliper paint?? I've been searching and all I find brand-wise is Duplicolor and G2... neither of which have a dark purple!

My boyfriend actually did most of the painting because we found out that I'm not so awesome with a rattle can, haha. But yeah, we painted them at home with that Duplicolor wheel paint.

well, I can't attest to the durability yet since they aren't even on the car. I prepped them the best and most thorough way possible to my knowledge, which included stripping all the original paint off the wheels. As for the guy that wrote the write up that I was following on a Honda forum, his turned out really good. He painted his off of the tire and had the tires put on with no chipping/scratching issues like most people have if they go that route. The manager at the Discount Tire around here even told me not to paint them before I had them put on tires for that reason. I only know for sure that they by about 4 months his were still chip free, and that was driving in the winter with salt and snow (which is not an issue for me in FL). I might try to message him and find out if they're still good, and if not how long did they last.

Are they the 350z Track wheels? If so, where did you get them and how much did you spend?

Yeah they are! I got them for $700 including shipping on Ebay, with tires that had something like 40% tread left, but they were the wrong size so I ditched them. I don't think the guy knew what he was selling. They were in good condition with just some scratches on a couple that only got through the paint, so once the paint was stripped there were no flaws anymore.

Jax for your caliper use Duplicolor METALCAST MC-204 Purple use several thin layers for you to get a dark purple look. Then finish off with a couple of layers of Dupli-Color Engine Enamel with Ceramic Clear coat for protection.

I did my calipers in orange.
