so after debating for a long time and researcing about spending the extra cash for supertech dual springs or staying with the bc springs i already have. I came across this info that i got from the guys at brian crowers shop:The tech that works there said that he would recommend shimming the valve spring install height to 1.500” which would give you 105 lbs valve closed and 235 lbs valve open.

What are your guys thoughts on this? Sounds apealing to me. Supertech springs put like 116 lbs on the seat.

500 hp?

Get the JWT spring and retainer kit, and their C series race cams. You'll be happy

Also with that 9k, are you going with a Solid valvetrain? Maybe want to ensure that the upped seat pressure will be koesher with the SLA's....

I run BC Springs (no shimming), Tomei 270 Solid Cams, and Tomei Solid Lifters and rev to 8500rpm without a problem. Ive hit 9300rpm in 1st gear not paying attention a handful of times.
