tailligt removal

just received my tailight overlay....hurray. wanted it done for the weekend but, couldnt remove the taillights. maybe cuz i am not strong enough to pull them out. very disappointed. can anyone give me any suggestions on an easy way to remove them

did you try using the tutorial?

it was pretty easy if you follow these directions.

unscrew the 2 tiny black bolts holding it in place.. then pull the tailight directly offthere are about 5 snap-in plastic pieces holding it on after u remove the 2 bolts. just gotta pull hard enough to pop them out. but not too hard to where u go flying backwards and u rip the cables.

for sure...already went thru the tutorials but just cant pull them out.

thanks for the 411. will give it another try. it almost seems like i could break them if i pull too hard.

Ice, after the bolts are out, theres one snap in on the top (facing the sky) and then two more facing the back of the car (where you are standing)...

If its giving you a really hard time, give it a slight bump tward the inside of the car (SLIGHT! with your closed fist, using the bottom of your hand) to free it up a bit... Then pull UP (tward the sky) more, while you are pulling it BACK (tward the rear of the car)...

Hope that helps!

Also, you should disconnect the wire harness before you start yanking on the light because if you yank too hard you dont want to rip the wires!
