My taillight will not shut off any ideas on how to fix this, I've looked at two fuse panels and have found no bad fuses

Take a look at the wires at the taillight, and also the brake light switch on the brake pedal.

It's the upper lights that are on, not the brake lights. I don't know if that makes any difference, but thank you for the advice

Are you sure you know which lights are for brakes?

Have you turned the headlight switch off completely? And maybe you just have the parking lights on?

It's not like I was assuming that you're stupid, it's that you may not have actually seen your own brake lights go on since you drive the truck and don't eat your own dust?

And as far as leaving your parking lights on, don't be so defensive. Just be sure and check it all out.
