Taillight out, not the bulb

I have a 240 sx coupe 1989, The light works except when i hit the brakes, then it just goes out. Any one know why it would do this ? A certain wire? or a fuse?

i belive those bulb shoul be double fillment wich is like having two bulbs in on if you look in it there shoul be 2 wires running accross make sure you have the right one. and sometimes only one filliment(half the bulb goes out)since tail lights ae usually wired in series if only on fillment goes out it will do exactly what your describing.....You can start there let me know if you ned anyhing else. Im bored of my as at work !!!!

k imma check it out.. the brake light also works as long as i dont have my lights on.. during the day without the lights on it works..but if i turn my lights on then hit the brakes .. on one of them doesnt work.
