Okay here's the deal when I got my 40 the fuse for the taillights blew and melted the clips in the fuse block. so the previous owner took out the green wire in the back of the fuseblock and ran it through an inline fuse wire. But ran the other side of the inline fuse to a spare slot in the fuseblock.. So a month after I got the car the inline fuse wire blew and melted, so I replaced it with another inline fuse... Here's the deal..... I can on the car, on the lights, let it idle, or rev it high... It won't pop, if I drive it till 45-50 m.p.h. It won't pop but when I go to 60 m.p.h the fuse pops....everytime I've benn replacing about 15 fuses in a week this prob didn't happen before with the first inline fuse wire..... Need help please!!!!!!!!

im not an electrical wizz but i have been taught a little about it.

Try checking all of your grounds, it sounds like theres to much resistance in your elec system causing any current to take the path of least resistance which could be through your tail lights causing the fuse to blow.

I may be wrong but checking your grounds couldnt hurt any but could help solve your problem

what mods do you have in this car that requires wiring? is it the green wire (meter & gauges) or green wire with red stripe (illumination)

The green wire with red stripe,as for the mods with wiring I installed an aftermarket player, I ran the wiring seperately from the radio harness yet nothing happened for a month but even if it's not on it will pop I took out the faceplate or took out the player fuse it will pop

the 15a fuse before the g/r wire is powered by the white wire.this white wire goes to accessory relays, other components such as horn, shift lock, timer control unit etc... it also connects to your 15a headlamp fuse. check this first because your popping the fuse when the lights are on.

your timing control unit ground is not connected?

Found the prob finally, checked the ground for the box, good the prob was the signal light harness was spliced and all the wires we're touching the bumper support so I taped and insulated all the wires now I can go to 80 and haven't changed a fuse
