Hey guys. I'm considering a hard tonneau (Undercover) for the 2017 SV and the
plastic spoiler must come off.

Has anybody taken one off? How?

Obviously stuck on. Undercover dealer said would go after it with a heat gun, but
there is a huge amount of plastic there. Would hate to bugger the paint.

I read that if it's taped on (double sided foamy tape), then you can glide a string through there to cut it off (I've read that 50lb test fishing line works), then remove the adhesives. 3M makes an adhesive removal product that gets good reviews. 3M also has a wheel attachment for a drill that can buff that stuff off. For heat gun, you might consider heating the underside (from inside the trunk) to get closer to the glue than trying to heat the topside of the actual spoiler.

Good luck and let us know what works please for future people to find.

It appears to be a two part setup, and I think the top half snaps in. Check out these links...

Thanks, Guys. Should have realized the top clipped on, but hadn't stuck
a tool in there yet.

Interesting the number of genuine Nissan parts on Amazon. Keep me from
bothering the Stealer! I even found the older style cap which should work with
the Undercover.
