Tailgate lift support struts?

I have a 2001 QX4 with a manufacture date of September 2000. I went to ebay to try and find some replacements tailgate lift supports and came across these >>> http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...AX:IT On that ebay ad it indicates that it is for 2001-2003 Infiniti QX4, but it's only limited to a production date of April 2001? Why/what is the difference that these can or can not work with my year/date of production (September 2000)? Where else can I buy a pair at a reasonable price? Please advise, thanks.

you'd be surprised the little things a car company will change, to the most trivial car part.

ebay is going to be the cheapest place online. i would just keep checking on ebay, maybe you missed a listing. or you can try a salvage yard. they usually warranty the part also, so if it doesn't hold the tailgate up either, you can get a full refund.
