Tail Lights

Does anyone know if the after market tail lights for a 01 qx4 will fit a 01 pathfinder. And there are to places of bulbs on the after market tails im guessing it is what every you want to do no including the reverse white bulbs. going to switch to all leds in the tails. any help would be appreciated

the 01 qx4 has reverse lights in the hatch, not on the lights


so aftermarket lights made for an 01 shouldn't have reverse lights in them if they are made correctly.

Yes they should fit just fine shape wise but as mentioned back up lights will be an issue (unless you have an external set). The QX4's have a spare housing on the bottom, presumably for a rear fog light in certain regions that require them. My plan is to drill it out and make the bottom dedicated brake lights while the middle section contain dedicated tails. Currently, the middle section serves both purposes.

damn i never even thought of european models of qx4, i been to europe a lot of times and ive never seen a single R50 there so i thought they didnt exist there.

let us know how the rear foglight mod works out!!

fueler - That is my assumption as my other car also has an extra location for a read fog but since US regulations do not require it, it was simply empty. So I converted it over to an extra brake lamp by inserting a bulb holder.

In the Q, I don't like how a single bulb serves as both a tail and a brake light. So my plan is to seperate them out, not so much to add a rear fog. The latter will require a dash switch.

its meant for rear fog lights, but on the EDM Pathfinder. I believe the right side of the Pathfinder has a QX4 tail light, and the left is a normal lense kind of shown in the picture on the R51


on a side note, aftermarket tails are compatible with either models.
