I apologize if this is the wrong place to post this or if this question has been answered thousands of times. I have searched and come up with nothing ... so does anyone have a link to a DIY thread or advice about how to remove s13 fastback tail lights?

Thanks

edit: i did read the factory service manual posted on here but the description is very basic.

its quite easy. from what i remember theres the hard molding with carpet inside on the backside of the taillights in the hatch. there should be clips i think holding it on. pop em off. then theres like 20 nuts you gotta take off...almost. you cant just pull em out(the taillights) then either. or atleast not mine. first make sure you got all the nuts. then just lightly punch the lights from inside and they'll pop out.

I removed the bulbs on the left tail light (they had the clips on them.) and on the inside i removed six or so nuts and all that's left are the studs.

BTW I only want to remove the left taillight, so I dont know if by 20 nuts you mean that i have to remove the whole setup back there... (hopefully that made sense)

i would recommend loosening the '240sx' reverse light center piece some on the left because it kinda overlaps the left tail some.

Dude, I'm sorry but you must be retarded. Here is how it goes:

IN ORDER TO REMOVE TAIL LIGHT:

-Loosen nuts-there is sticky s*** on the inside-push it out from the inside of the hatch.-out comes the tail light and an angel gets it wings.

Try that and come back, if you really can't figure it out, I prefer you don't even try to put air in your tires.

Thank you DGK, i appreciate it that you answered that for me.

It doesn't matter if the question I asked is obvious to you... This is the first time I have done this and I haven't been working on/around cars for as long as you people have. This is a forum, there is no need to be an unprofessional douchebag about it.

Use your head.

If you can't figure out how to get tail lights out, maybe you should consider bringing it to a shop.

Look at your tail light.

Look what nuts are behind your tail light

Take them off.

ffs
