I've look at all the threads describing the same problem and people just say change the third fuse up from the bottom in the white box under the driver side dash, but it seems I don't have this white box. (1993 Coupe) Here's what I do have..

Is it the green box? Or the other black one?

It's behind the black box(car alarm?) inside theplastic kick pannel. The green box has to do with getting the key out of the ignition(seriously) don't mess with it.

ya thats a short.....i had this same issue...when you tilt the steering wheel in the uprite position the wire harness for the running lights may eventually get cut and ground out ...it happens on a sharp part under the tilt part..rite at the edge of it....what i did to solve it..was to epoxy a soft piece of rubber on the edge to stop the wires from being cut...this may not be your issue...but it is a common one..so look there first..try pulling the wire away from the spot..replace the fuse..then turn the running lights on..if the fuse pops again..keep looking..if it dosent..then you had the same issue alot of us have had...hope this helps.

I am having this same problem, I went trough a whole box of fuses. Tonight I riped apart the whole dash and didn't find a short and no shorts at the lights ether. Could you post up a pic of where this wire gets warn through. I am going crazy, so crazy that I have thought about making this strictly track car.

I had the same problem an it took me a while to figure out what it was. What your gonna want to do is check all of the wires to the running lights to see if any are bare because theres more a chance that the short is outside the cabin then the inside. Then you'll want to check the switch itself. For me it was the license plate lights. Since the wires are so close to the ground the covers started to decay after a while. I just cut up and re wrapped them and the running lights/tail lights/gauge cluster lights turned on when I put a new fuse in.

No running lights but brake lights work and no interior lights, dash or radio - I have seen this 3 times, and all 3 times it was the radio harness wiring that had a short. Once it was a stray bare unused wire sticking into the radio harness plug and shorting out - didn't even have a radio in the car.
