Hey guys,
I havent posted on NICO in what seems like forever. My wife and I just got a 2012 Altima 3.5SR, black on black. I have already put new wheels/tires on it and just got the windows tinted this weekend. The question now is what to do with the headlights/taillights? I have been toying with the idea of doing the "AE edition" type mod to the headlights since the sedan's housings are chrome and not black like the coupe's. also thought about just getting some Lamin-x to cover the taillights but after looking at some of the pics of other Altima's online I decided I dont really like that idea as well as I thought I would. So....if found these in the "tail light" link from the bottom of the NICO home page. Does anybody have these installed or have any pics?? There's not many after-market parts out yet that I can find so any help would be appreciated!

I know this sounds petty, but I would go with them on 2 conditions: 1) If I could get a chrome amber bulb for the turn signal, and 2) If I could get white Putco 360 degree LED reverse bulbs. If not, it would kind of ruin it for me. Otherwise, they're clean.

Nice altima! BTW remove that license plate holder on the front! I like the ones from Andys autosport, the light layout reminds me of the tails on my SE-R

RCBOY - Thanks for the images, they really helped make the final decision! Now that I've seen them actually installed, they give the exact look I was trying to get. I'll be ordering a set tonight and will post up some new pics once they arrive and get installed. I'm pretty impatient sometimes, so I'm feeling an "expedited shipping" splurge! LOL :dblthumb:

BTW - Where did you get your front grill replacement? I have been looking all over for one that will fit a '12 but all I can find are ones that fit '07-'08. I managed to find one that said it would fit an '11 but it had an extra piece running vertically from top to bottom at the middle of the grill. I want one that is completely open like yours. Do remember where you got yours and if it'll fit a '12?? :gotme

VQpwrdSE-R - Thanks! I dont want to remove the front plate cause when I did, it showed the two holes where the damn dealership drilled it into the freakin bumper. So, I have a new idea/project that I've decidied to do there instead. I dont want to say too much and ruin the surprise....but I'll post pics when I get it done (shouldnt be but maybe 2-3 weeks).

Aha! Ive finally found the article

I just did this today, bought honda bumper plugs just for the size and rounded edges. Hope this helps. You wont even need to paint it with your car being black.

my grille is a c-mod and they make one for the 11'-12' sedan if i'm not mistaken. Mine has the middle vertical support bar but that is part of the bumper and not the grille and all the altimas have it I think, but I painted mine black along with my radiator so I wouldn't show up as much. Some people just cut them off, but I haven't seen the long term effects of that so I am leaving mine for now.

Thanks man!

I dont plan on doing too much to this car since it already looks pretty good as it is now (in my opinion). Only other plans I have are for springs, black c-mod grill, paint the chrome trunk piece black, and add those taillights to finish the "black-out." Maybe i'll get around to adding the Nismo catback exhaust at some point.
