Tail light difference question

What is the difference between the 95-96 Maxima tail lights and the 97-99 tail lights? will a 95 tail light fit in a 99? they dont look any different to me. The only difference I see is that the white/orange combo is on the opposite side (bottom instead of top or visa-versa). Thanks!

they dont mount the same. if you look close at the 95-96 taillights and trunk lid, there is a dip just near the bottom of the trunk (where it meets the bumper). on the 97-99 the lights and trunk lid are flat, no dip.

they will not interchange bro.

The outers will bolt on but the inners wont fit. They are made a lil different.

you can convert yours, but like kzoosho said, inner lights wont fit, so you need to put a 1995-1996 trunk lid for the inner lights to fit.
