"Tail Lamp Inoperable" Help....

Hello everyone..I have a 1993 Q45.I was driving last night and all of a sudden my gauge lights went out and then all of a sudden a little message "Tail Lamp Inoperable" appeared. All of the rear lights/signals work except for the running lights.I checked the fuses and they seem fine...Is this common?Any and All advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would just go ahead and replace your tail lamps... And clean the contacts while your in there.

Thank you for the reply...Ok I am going to do that...What about the speedo/rpm gauge lights?? Why are they on the fritz as well??
