My stupid tachometer doesn't work for some stupid reason. ITs a 89 coupe. Can you make it work by changing fuses? Are there wires around the motor that connects to the tach? Where are they located and for my overheating problem. Once I put the thermostat housing back on. That should make a diff. but I want to know why there is steam in back of intake manifold. Looks like hose leak, but im not sure. They change the head gasket and I find no leaks, but if a hose is leaking. Can that be the problem because it never did it before I replaced the exhaust manifold Gaskets. So I'm just wondering what the problem is. Any tips please?

avirex81: There's no one simple answer for you. Simply asking how do you make your tach work is way to general a question. Someone would have to basically type up the diagnostic procedures from the FSM for you. To troubleshoot and repair a problem, it requires you to narrow down the problem. This involves testing and checking various components. The problem can be one of several components that work with the tach. You need to approach any problems with your car methodically. Once you narrow it down then we might be able to give you a specific answer.

Ok, i'm going to diagnostic the car this week and explain more in detail what seems to be the problem. Thanks for a quick tip.
