Tachometer not working after SR20DET S14 Blacktop mount.

Hi lads!

After finally getting the engine to rev and run like it should I now face a small problem.

The tachometer aint working. I got a signal of 0.1volts from the ECU when ideling and when I put my fot down a bit it sends out an increasingly signal depending on enginespeed.

But the revmeter stays... Dead.

I switched from an CA18DET to an SR20DET S14 Kouki engine.

This is probably the last electrical problem except getting the speedometer to work..

Any ideas or solutions?

I got an idea or something that the SR ecu sends out an to low signal compared to the old CA ecu.. or something.. any comments?..

What year is your speedo from... if it's from a 89-90 then yeah it won't work, if it's 91+ then you got a bad speedo.

I had the same problem with my 97 black top. Mine turned out to be just the actual tachometer. All I did was switch out the tach with the one from my front clip and every worked fine. If that doesn't work go back and double check your wiring harness .
