hi, I'm having problems figuring out how to get the tachometer working for an rb25det engine + r33 cluster. I'd like someone to confirm or correct me and lead me the way on how to solve this.

Here's what I know:- ECU pin 7 is tachometer signal out. (Brown/Yellow). this wire goes to a bridge connector (?) (one in, two out, plus other wires - the two out wires I cut since _I think_ they went elsewhere (side door, or rear of car)- On the cluster side, the pin with "TAM" on it is tachometer signal in. However, this wire is Yellow/Blue.

Now... I'm sure something is wrong since why would the wire color change.

Any ideas on how to connect up the wires?

Hope the above info helps to diagnose my problem.

Thanks in advance.

Ok... problem solved... My mistake all along. I use the wrong colored wire from the ecu. tacho wire is Yellow/Sky blue. I slightly blame the r32 gtr manual diagrams which are barely readable, heh.

Hey, it could be worse. You could have an S14 manual, whose wiring diagrams are perfectly readable.... and WRONG!
