Tacho Install help

Ok so i gave in and bought a sunpro tach from auto zone cause i cant order one off line at the moment an am sick of not having a working one.

My car was a SOHC automatic now its a 5speed sr i believe ecu #63 and it still has the SOHC cluster my question is can i run the rpm(green wire) to the ecu or should i just stick with running it to the coil pack. Iv'e been reading and saw people ran into issues with using the coil packs but none of them had a sohc cluster so i wasen't sure if i need some type of adapter or anything like that..

What do the instruction from sunpro say? No instructions? Contact the company or look online/website. GL

And can't you convert the sohc tach to read the sr's dohc signal? Or is that a KA only trick.....I wonder...anyone?
