tach wiring

ok, i've got an MSD and blaster SS coil in my 521 and a small aftermarket tach i'm trying to wire up. i tried nearly every combination of wiring i could think of, but nothing seems to work. i also tried wiring it the same as my honda had but no go. any ideas?

doesn't match my tach. aside from the red/black for the lamp, theres a green and white wire. i've tried several combos with the negative wire from the coil but no go

Sounds like we might have the same tach...?
The green wire controls the needle, other than that I'm no help-

When it warms up outside, i'll try playing around with it again. I'll let you know if i manage to get it right
