Alright, So I just finished up with an RB swap, and one of the last thing to get done is to get the tach set up, my problem is that the resistor in the ECU that puts out the tach signal is fried, and when it fried I think it took out some circuit trace with it so repairing the resistor looks very difficult, SO! In order to get a working STOCK tach, what are my options? So far I think I have 3.

1.Should I get the MSD tach adapter and see if I can wire it to the stock tach?

2.Get a whole new ECU? D:

3. Wire the tach to a different spike signal, CAS? Directly to a Coil?

Anybody else have any ideas?

Thanks,
James

Directly to a coil will not work when you have coil over plug. I dont think there is any tach adapter that will use the signal you need for the stock tach. Cas is extremely inacurate. Your only option that I know of is get a new ecu or get a tach afapter 9117 and run that with an aftermarket tach of your choice.
