Hi i have done some searching and came up with nothing, i was hoping someone here could help me out. I have a 90 single cam 240 with a rb20det. Now when it was plugged in the tach did not work at all. Fuel worked, speedo and heads up display worked. Water temperature and my tach did not work. I switched the tach with a dual cam plugged it in and once i turn the key it just sits at 1 location 1k and does not move. help please? thanks in advance!

You need to check your tach wire. Pin 7 out of the ecu I think. Beep it from the ecu to your tach and see if you messed up your wiring. I would also check you temp gauge wiring. Blue with black stripe.

dohc is still a 4 banger tach; you need a tach from a 6 cylinder.
