Tach not working and i know i wired it up

Discuss the RB20, RB25 and RB26 series engines.

Well guys i followed the driftmotion dvd when the harness was being wired up...and i followed there instructions as to what to make the tach and rpm work but i am still not getting anything...i checked all my fuses and they are all good and working so i am confused as to whats going on...i mean even if the reading is off i will still be happy but i am not getting anything at all

Is it a 89-90 cluster?

thats the problem right there. The cluster for to sohc car will not work on a dohc motor. Try a cluster from a 91-94 and see what you get.

OOOOOO makes sense...i will try one of my friends....but i gotta do some research on how to wire it in

actually just swap the tach, not the cluster.

J30 tach should read correctly, needs bit of work to fit into cluster.

i need the full cluster though i kinda already messed up mine....and then i will get the i30 later

you can get the 240sx tach to read correctly. and the clusters are swapable, no need to wire them up. they just plug in.

the 4th post down shows the screw that you turn to adjust the reading..
