Tach jumps when under load

I have an 89 s13 with the CA18 and a JDM cluster.

Worked well for the past few years. Recently the tach has been jumping when I put the engine under medium to heavy load ( basically anything but daily driving). I've searched and been everywhere from bad grounds to a bad cluster. Any other help would be appreciated. Thanks

you sure its not your clutch slipping ?
