tach doesnt work??

any ideas on how to make my tach work. i have an safc and its wired corriectly and it doesnt register my rpms on it either...

i was told i cant run a wire for my distributor to the tach and thats a way to do it.

has anyone tried it or know of other ways.

its hard to run with out a tach when im at high rpms.
