So i just changed the heater core in my car. Before i put the interior back in i wanted to take it for a drive and make sure it didnt overheat. I hooked up my cluster and took it for a spin. something shorted out and the tach and temp gauges stopped working. I checked all the fuses and they are fine. Whats the deal?

Pull the gauge cluster. The printed board may have gone bad. Look for burn spots or cracked solder points. HUD or analog?

Pull it and check it out. HUD's are notorious for breaking. Don't forget to drop the steering colum to get the trim and cluster out, if not you will break it.
